Where Is Our Well?

"Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour." (John 4:4-6)

*Emma Mae Jenkins is a young writer, speaker, social media influencer, and author of the book "Be Loved." She shares in an interview on "Focus On The Family" how she followed the example of Jesus when He went up through Samaria, and had a conversation with a woman at the well. She said that Jesus ["...didn't have to go through Samaria in the sense that He had no other option. He had to go because, that was where He saw help was needed..."] Even though there was conflict between the Jews and Samaritans, Jesus went anyway. Emma Mae Jenkins shared about how she took advantage of her lunchtime at school, and went to different tables in the cafeteria, and asked people how their day was going. Everyone from the band people, football people, to the art people. [..."I got to tell them that I loved them..."] I share about Emma's experience, because I thought it was a very good way to make a difference in people's lives.

Where is our well? Where are those places where we can interact with people, and tell them we love them, and especially tell them that Jesus loves them. There are so many people who want to be cared about, who want to hear that they are loved.

Just like Jesus who went to a well in Samaria, a forbidden place for a Jew. Jesus went anyway, and made a difference in woman's life.
Where is our well of interaction? Where can we go to show, and to share the love of Jesus. GP
