In This Grace We Stand

One of the problems that people have with health insurance companies, is with "Pre-existing Conditions." If you just purchased a health insurance plan, but became ill with a condition that occurred previous to getting health insurance; the company is most likely not to provide coverage for you. And many have fallen into this type of situation.

When I think of my spiritual condition; I think about God's grace.
I don't deserve it, but I got it (so did you) because God loves us that much.
My question for us; Are we standing in this grace today?

In Romans 5:1-11 the Apostle Paul answers the question:
"What does standing in the grace of God mean for us today? I want to list seven spiritual blessings of standing in the grace of God, that Paul presents in this passage of Scripture.
 1. Peace with God (v.1)
 2. Access to God (v.2)
 3. A glorious hope (v.2)
 4. Christian Character (vv.3-4)
 5. God's love within (vv.5-8)
 6. Salvation from future wrath (vv.9-10)
 7. Reconciliation with God (v.11)

 An old Indian, after living many years in sin, was led to Christ by a missionary. Friends asked him to explain the change in his life. Reaching down, he picked up a little worm and placed it on a pile of leaves.
Then touching a match to the leaves, he watched them smolder and burst into flames. As the flames worked their way up to the center where the worm lay, the old chief suddenly plunged his hand into the center of the burning pile, and snatched out the worm. Holding the worm gently in his hand, he gave testimony to the grace of God by saying: "Me...THAT WORM!" Those are strong words to describe us as sinners, but Oh how wonderful and precious the grace of God.

 "O precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus." Today, receive Jesus as your Savior, and stand in the wonderful, eternal, grace of God. (GP)

God's Grace Place

"Through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God." (Romans 5:2) 

As Christian we stand in the most wonderful place a person could stand. We stand in the grace of God. The Apostle Paul shares here in Romans 5:1-11 some blessings that come from our standing in this precious place. But all through the Bible we find the abundant blessings of being in what I call "God's Grace Place." It is the most peaceful, the most secure, the most confident building place, there is.

As I have mentioned before, there are two things that save us us according to Ephesians 2:8
1) The Grace of God. If it were not for the unmerited favor of God, we would not have any hope of salvation. 2) Our Faith. To obtain this position in the grace of God, we must trust the Lord Jesus Christ for it. When we trust Jesus Christ to save us, and cleanse us from our sins, we are allowing Him to place us in this place for eternity. We get there by faith, and we stay there by faith.

It doesn't matter what happens to us here in this life; when we place ourselves "in Christ" we place ourselves in God's "Grace Place" forever. We place ourselves in the safest place there is, for all eternity.

Jesus is waiting. Will you let Him, place you there?

Grow In Grace

 "...but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever." 
(2 Peter 3:18) 

A great building can tower into the air, only because of a firm foundation. And a great tree can reach out to the sky with it's branches, only because of it's deep roots. It is the same with the Christian life. The only way to have a strong vibrant Christian life, is to stand firmly in the grace of God, and grow in it.

The Apostle Paul said in Romans 5:2. "...through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." The Christian life is a developing life. From the time we step into the grace of God, (when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior) we grow into a strong, vibrant, mature, person in Christ.

The more we know the Lord Jesus Christ, the more we know God.
The more we put into practice the teachings of Christ, the more we will grow in wisdom and maturity concerning the Christian life. The more we hope in the promises of God, the more peace we will have concerning the future.

We are like a seed that has been planted in the soil of the grace of God. All that God has to offer us, and will do for us, is contained in the soil of grace. We come alive again from the death of sin, and we sprout to new life, and we blossom for all the world to see. All because the divine gardener, Jesus Christ, planted us in the grace of God, for all eternity.

I have seen the power of a seed, sprout and come up through the roughest ground. The grace of God is available to all, who want to live in the blessings of God! GP

The Sufficient Grace Of God

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."
(2 Corinthians 12:9a) 

There are many people who find "weakness" a very revolting condition. We would rather see ourselves as strong, virle,vigorous, etc.

But there are times, when no matter how hard we try, we cannot be these things. Does that mean that we are failures in life? The Apostle Paul didn't think so. He was a strong Christian man. But he knew where his strength came from. We are not sure what the "thorn in the flesh" (2 Cor.12:1) was, that afflicted him.

In the beginning, he had problems accepting it. He asked the Lord to remove it three times. But after the third time, he accepted the Lord's answer to Him. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."
(2 Cor.12:9a)

How wonderful to know, that in our condition of weakness, the Lord can work in us, and through us, to help us to make an impact on this world for Him.

The whole purpose of our Christian experience is to glorify the Creator of the universe, to magnify our Heavenly Father. We can do that the best,when we totally depend upon Him, for the wisdom, and strength we need.

We depend on so many things, to survive in this life. The power we need is just an outlet away. Well the power we need, to live a peaceful, and purposeful life, is a good read, every day, from the Bible, and a prayer of total submission to the Lord. Let's plug into the power! GP
