"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much, and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." (Luke 16:10)
Are you someone who keeps their word? Are you someone people can count on? When you're asked to do something, or expected to do something, do you follow through? These are good questions that examine our true character as Christians. There are two attitudes that hinder our sense of responsibility. First there is
Pride. To say that "I am going to do what I want to do first, no matter what expectations are placed upon me." "If they don't like it, that's fine." The second is
Procrastination. To say, "When I get around to it, it will get done." But we never get around to it, and we let the Lord, and people down. We were always very appreciative of those people who helped us in the ministry. They kept their word, and were right there, when we needed them. That means so much, when you are going through a rough time, and you depend upon others to get you through it. To be responsible and dependable are two character traits that mark a true Christian. In this world, where people are hurting so much, and need the touch of Jesus Christ in their lives, will we be the ones they can count on? I pray that we will be! GP
