It is true we cannot earn our salvation, and obtain the inheritance that God has for us, by our own means, when this life is done.
We receive it when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is not a work that we do, but a gift that is brought to us by our Redeemer.(Hebrews 9:15) But in light of the fact that we have this reward, for our obedience to the Father, we do what we are called to do for the Lord, heartily. When we become apart of the Kingdom of God, we should greatly desire to further the Kingdom. To be used by God to bring people to the Lord Jesus Christ, so they can have the hope of an eternal inheritance as well. And the focus is not on ourselves, or to have an audiance to applaud all that we do. But all that we do, is to "serve the Lord Christ". It is vital that we know who we are in Christ, and what we have in Him. To realize how rich we are with the blessings He has bestowed upon us, now and forever. And may that be the dynamic force behind all that we do in Christian service. What can we do to make a difference in people's lives for the Lord? To help them have what we have.
