Are you always prepared? I would be bold to say that all of us, at one time or another have felt embarrassed because life blind-sided us, and we were not prepared to deal with the issue at hand.
We are told in our text, and other places in the Scripture, to be prepared for the Lord's return. To be prepared for heaven. Even though we don't know when Jesus is coming back, we need to be ready at any moment.
We can get so caught up in the affairs of our world, that we become asleep to what is important concerning our spiritual lives.
When the Lord Jesus does return, will He see, our faith, hope, and love? Will He see that we have accepted Him as Savior, and that we have been allowing Him to work on our character, and our involvement for Him in His Kingdom?
It's time to "awake out of sleep", and get moving in the areas of spiritual maturity. The time is drawing closer, than when we first believed. We have much to do, in regard to our life, and the lives of others. It comes down to being responsible.
There comes a feeling of confidence when we are prepared. I wonder, just how prepared are we? GP
