"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say, of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, My God in whom I trust." (Psalm 91:1-2)
Yes, we have questions about this pandemic. Is this pandemic the will of God? Is God trying to teach us something with this crisis? Is God bringing judgment upon the world with this epidemic? Why would a loving God allow so much suffering and death to occur? On and on with the questions.
But according to the Bible, as Christians, no matter what happens, we are not losers. Why? Because of the hope we have in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Even if we die to this life, we will go immediately to be with The Lord, for eternity. (John 14:1-3)
The right response to this pandemic, is to do as our text says:
To "...dwell in the shelter of the Most High...", and..." rest in the shadow of the Almighty..."(Psalm 91:1) We must trust God with our lives.
No matter what happens, He will take care of us.
We need to encourage others to place their trust in Jesus Christ. He is the one who gives us hope, as we like David, "...walk through the valley of the shadow of death,..." Why? because as we journey through this world, with all of it's threats and calamities, our Good Shepherd is with us! (Psalm 23) GP
