" So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,..." (Philippians 2:1-5) What does it take in the church to be of the same mind? To answer this question, is to ask another question, and that is: How can we all have the "mind of Christ"? I believe it begins by humbling ourselves, and committing to the study and application of the teachings, and life of Jesus. The more we study it, and the more we study it together, the more we will come to be like the one we are studying about. When we learn and live out the characteristics of Jesus, the more we will be in one accord. The rivalry and conceit that the enemy wants us to major in, will not exist in our partnership in Christ. We will be like Jesus, and will be looking out for the interests of others, instead of our own.
