"...Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints, because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, or which you heard before in the Word of the truth of the Gospel..." (Colossians 1:4-5) Of all the areas we as Christians are to excel in, these three are the most important. Faith, Love, Hope. Faith is the eyes of the Christian life, that sees the promises of God as becoming reality. Love is the heart, that feels the presence of God, and the desire to give, and minister to those around us. And hope are the legs that carry us into the future, when the storms of life, challenge our days, and obscure our vision of God, and our future. Faith, Love, and Hope, are marks of maturity, that reveal the measure of our Christian fiber, and being. And the food that establishes and maintains these three pillars of our Christian existence, is the principles of God's Word. In this new year, when we ask ourselves, "How can we really improve our lives, and have us be on a higher plain, a stronger level, than ever before? Pursuing these three areas of maturity is key. Even though our physical bodies will deteriorating, our spiritual inner self, will be the best that it can be. GP
