There are many who had it very tough in 2021, they don't even want to think about the new year. The clouds of deep dark despair are still hanging over them. Are you one of them?
I was so surprised to read the Apostle Paul's words in his letter to the Corinthian church.
"For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life."(1 Corinthians 1:8)
How could this mighty man of faith, who said that "he could do all things through Christ who strengthened him"(Philippians 4:13) be ready to give up on life?
Every year has its challenges. 2022 will be no different. As time goes by, we will experience the ups and downs of life. If you read on in 2 Corinthians 1:10, Paul maintains this hope, which is our hope today: "...who delivered us from so great a death, does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us."
As time goes by, we learn that we have a deliverer standing by to take care of us, and help all things to work out for us, according to His will. (Romans 8:28) With this promise we can enter 2022 with confidence! GP
