“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans 5:8)
Not being loved as a child, and having people treat you wrongly as an adult, can cause one to feel very unloved by God. It causes one to ask the question: "If people haven't loved me, why in the world would God love me? Or to turn it around' "God must not love me, because if He did, He would have placed people in my life, who would have loved me, and cared about me?
It is hard to understand why some people have been treated so badly by parents, and family members, and people who are apart of their inner circle, and others have had good solid relationships.
But in spite of this unfairness, we can come to understand, and experience the deep love of God. In our submitting to Him in faith (for salvation & daily help) and in our fellowship with Him daily, we can experience the wonderful loving presence of God in our lives.
We should never forget that this awesome God, who gave His Son to die for our sins, wants to dwell with us, every
moment of our lives. He wants us to know, without a doubt that He deeply and sincerely loves you and me. GP

I Love The Way God Loves Me
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
I remember laying on a table, as a camera took a picture of every inch of my body. It was a bone scan, to see if the cancer of my prostate gland, had settled into my bones.
While I was lying there, praying that there would be no sight of cancer, I began counting my many, many blessings. I was thankful for my family who was supporting me through this difficult time, for my home, my job, food to eat, for the many memories of being with family and friends. On and on, I was just thanking God for His many blessings.
There was no doubt that God loved me. He had been with me through several trials, and I knew that He would be with me through this as well. "I love the way God loves me!"
And best of all, I have salvation, and the promise of eternal life. It was Jesus, God's Son who, went to Calvary in my place, to pay my sin debt. He brought me a hope I did not deserve, and could not achieve by myself.
No one loves us more than God does. No one loves us like He does.
So today, I hope that you will respond to God's love. Let Him be to you, all that He promises to be. You will be blessed in ways, you never thought possible. GP

What Does God Think Of Me?
*It has been said that each of us is at least four different people.
1) The person we think we are.
2) The person others think we are.
3) The person we think others think we are.
4) The person we really are.
Last week I started a sermon series on the subject of love, and started with God's love for us. The question we looked at was: "What Does God Think of Me?"
In Ephesians 1:4-14 we looked at how God views us in four different ways. Just briefly mentioned: God sees us "In Christ" as:
Chosen In Christ (v.4)
Rescued In Christ (v.7)
Adopted In Christ (v.5)
Honored In Christ (vv.7-14)
There are a lot of people who show a false face on how they really feel about themselves, and have a wrong idea about how God sees them, and how He feels about them.
If there is one thing that is established and maintained here in Paul's words, and all through the Bible, is that God loves us deeply, and was willing to go the distance, to have us with Him for eternity. There is no denying that. You may refuse God's love, but it is very evident from the Scriptures that God sees us as His treasure.
Will you accept how God feels about you, and run to Him to place yourselves in His loving and eternal care? GP

The Precious Choice
He was a little white shih Tzu dog.
Who knew how old he was, or how many places he had been. It was evident from the number tattooed in his ear. that he had been in a puppy mill, and had almost starved to death. Because of malnutrition, his front legs were weak, and his right paw was deformed. He ended up in a place where they were trying to find homes for dogs. Then a family came, who was looking for a dog, They saw him being walked on, and walked over, by the other dogs. Who would want him, with all his problems, and handicaps. But this family chose him, and was determined to have him. He ended up being with this family, for four wonderful years. And he blessed their lives with his presence, and his charm.
"Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.."
(Ephesians 1:4)
As Christians, it feels very good to be chosen, and to know that God was determined to love us, rescue us, and keep us with Him for eternity. If you have not embraced this love that God has for you, you can do it today, and truly feel special all the rest of your life. GP
