Our daughter was born when we were serving a small church in Lucerne, Missouri. She was born during a snow storm and we were in a truck following a snow plow. A snow plow was coming from the other direction as well. One of the plows got stuck and we were wondering if we would make it to the hospital in time! We did and Tracy arrived safely.
All of our worrying was in vain because God was watching over us. Matthew 6:27 says that no one can add even a single hour to his life by worrying.
God is in control. All we have to do is trust Him. LP

When We All Get To Heaven
There is a little verse that goes like this:
To live above with those we love
That surely will be glory.
To live below with those we know
Well that's another story!
We were able to spend some time with family recently. It was a very enjoyable time that we really needed. Sometimes being with with our earthly families can be filled with tension. There are disagreements when not everyone sees eye to eye with each other.
That can also happen with our spiritual families. We may not always agree or understand each other. When we all get to heaven it will be a joy to be with our heavenly Father and there will be no more discord. There will be peace and unity. LP

In My Heart There Rings A Melody
In My Heart There Rings A Melody is a hymn that was written by Elton M. Roth. Since I have a sister named Melody, and my father's name was Elton, it is one of my favorites.
But it also has a catchy tune, and a good message. Psalm 9:1-2 tells of how we should praise God, and have a heart full of rejoicing.
Having a melodious heart is not always easy. We don't always like being joyful. It is in those times that we need to focus on Jesus, what He endured for us, and the reason we are praising Him.
If we do that, we can honestly have a melody in our heart at all times. LP
