To God We Are Special

There are so many people in our churches today, who have given their hearts to Jesus Christ, yet they maintain a feeling of worthlessness. Some have felt this way since childhood, others because of negative circumstances and negative comments along the way, have let society convince them, that they are not worth very much. How are we special to God? There are three things that God did that shows us that we are special to Him. 1. He Has Chosen Us. (Read Ephesians 1:3-4) From the very foundation of this world, God chose us to be a part of His kingdom, a part of His family.
 It is a wonderful feeling to know that you were chosen. it makes you feel wanted, and needed. Through Jesus Christ, God's Son, God made a way for us to be with Him for eternity. 2 He Has Changed Us. (Read 2 Corinthians 5:16-17) After sin took its toll on us, we needed restoration. That's exactly what God did though Jesus. We became new creations. That which was old and destructive is gone, and the new has come. How great it is to put on that which is new. You feel special when some one provides this for you. 3. He Has Challenged Us. (Read Matthew 5:13) Not only has God given us a place, and a purity, but He has given us a purpose. We are to be like salt. We are to flavor this world with the elements of a Christian lifestyle. We are to preserve the truth of God's Word by, not just in what we say, but in how we live. What a privilege to be called to help the Lord with the work of reaching a lost and dying world. If you want to feel special, Don't look to the world, but look to the Lord. He loves us more than we could ever imagine. (GP)
