Yesterday, President-elect Donald Trump said in his first press conference (1/11/2017) in reference to inauguration day, and to the future: "We're going to have a very, very elegant day. The 20th is going to be something that will be very, very special, very beautiful. And I think we're going to have massive crowds, because we have a movement. It's a movement like the world has never seen before. It's a movement that a lot of people didn't expect..."(CNBC)
Webster's New Life Dictionary gives the word "Movement" this definition: "An organized action by people working towards a goal." We wish our new elected president and his staff, all the best, as they work towards the goal, of leading this nation to a place of productivity.
From the very beginning of the church's formation, on the day of Pentecost, the early Christians were given a goal; and that goal was to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherever they went. As they fled persecution, they preached the Gospel in Judea, Samaria, Galilee, and beyond.
As Christians, are we excited about this same movement, that we are called to today? The Lord Jesus Christ has given us a purpose in life, that transcends all other pursuits. This work, involves sharing a life changing message, that is vital for the salvation of people's souls today.
We who have been blessed by the workings of the Lord, in our lives, should never be quiet about what we have experienced, and what we have to look forward to. Let's move forward with the Gospel! GP
